Day 19 – Saturday 10 March 2018
How to wake up. Freshly squeezed local oranges followed by scrambled eggs on toast with touring home grown herbs.
With the sun shining we take advantage of the day before we meet up with our new best Spanish friends, Javier and Angeles for bubbly at 4pm. As we arrive, we explain we need to leave at 4:45 for Villa Joyosa to watch Rugby with our new best English friends Fay and Gary.
As you can see Javier is sat with his laptop in front of him. Being a professional photographer and also film maker he showed us some examples of his work, which included a short film entirely filmed from a drone. I found him on FaceBook and you can see some of his work here – https://www.facebook.com/VideoFotoMarsella. Considering we continued to converse with the use of our mobile translators, we got on like a house on fire.
An enjoyable walk with our dogs Lottie and Stella into Villa Joyosa.
Finding a sports bar we settle in to watch the Rugby.
Being unable to follow the game, my attention is distracted to a group at the next bar. Looking over to see what they’re up to, they invite me to join them. Maria and friends introduce me to Creme de Orujo.
You are both looking very well, with good suntans,it’s good to make new friends even
if it’s over a very poor game of rugby, what has happened to English rugby?Definately
looks more fun in the other bar and that drink sounds very good to me .Not
celebrating though, only how nice the drinking is their a problem. Love Jenny and Ray
