Sunday 18 March
Three weeks and three days in Villa Paraiso, about 10km from Benidorm, and it’s time to go. I’ve enjoyed the weather, the campsite, our super duper touring caravan and especially the company of my able Boy Scout who has a tool for everything and can fix anything, but 24 days static in a caravan for touring is enough.
New adventures have included:
- Learning about power management
- Introducing Steve to fresh artichokes. I remembered my Mum showing me how to prepare, cook and serve these from many years ago, right down to propping the plate up underneath at the back with a horizontal knife to make it easier to scoop the vinaigrette sauce. As delish as ever.
- Unexpected selfies. Every time I connect the camera to the laptop to down load photos there are always surprises for me. Looking quite enigmatic darling.
- And of course wash day. With the washing firmly pegged on the line behind time to take 5 with a glass of Rose.
As well as sunshine, the weather also gave us many clouds and heavy winds so although there weren’t that many opportunities to sun bathe the weather was certainly better than in the rest of Europe!
