This website and blog is set up as a bit of fun, is non-commercial and for the benefit of friends and family, and people of like minded outlook, We use standard wordpress and hostgator software which we have bought off the shelf. We have included a privacy policy template for completeness, but in essence we won’t be knowingly sharing adresses, mails, comments etc., although the anti-spam may do some checking in the background (apparantly)

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
